Join SEL Chicago's Summer Certification Workshops for Positive Discipline

What educators are saying ...

I had known of Positive Discipline for years ... everything I read fit with my beliefs as a teacher. In a workshop environment, I experienced the work with the benefit of experiential activity based learning.  Our trainer fielded questions, led activities, and guided us through misunderstandings. I know I came away with a richer and deeper belief in why and how treating all students with respect while being kind and firm is deeply encouraging.  I also came away with not only affirmation of why, but concrete ways how to create this environment in my classroom.

Positive Discipline at Home

SEL Chicago's gentle, supportive leadership made the whole class particularly wonderful. The coursework gives me a calm, effective way to approach day-to-day communication with my kids, and helps me to deal with and even anticipate issues in an effective way. Months after completing the series of classes, I find myself still relying on the tools she provided and feeling so thankful to have this program in our lives. We are a calmer, happier, more positive family thanks to Kristin and the Positive Discipline methodology. Thank you for this gift of respect and calm, we are forever grateful.  Heather R. - Chicago
